Structural Civil Engineer Vacancy at Admiralty Homes
A real estate company is looking to recruit motivated, experienced civil engineer with extensive industrial expertise.
Brief
Admiralty Home, a renowned construction and real estate firm in Lekki, Lagos.
Civil and structural design and engineering are his responsibilities.
Create narrative specifications (Program of Needs) that outline the technical requirements that will be implemented.
The Client, Architect, and Project Manager work closely together on this project.
The hired engineer with extensive experience in concrete (in situ/prefab) and steel structures.
Extensive experience with industrial projects (production plants, FMCG/F&B warehouses, distribution centers, wastewater treatment plants, and related facilities) and related facilities.
Finally, should be experience with projects for Multinational Clients is preferred.
Location
Lekki, Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer civil/structural (concrete and steel) structures, including drafting and detailing.
- Create reports for structural design calculations.
- Consult with geotechnical experts to study ground conditions and make a decision based on the findings (soil samples and in-situ tests).
- Conduct structural and technical analyses, as well as site investigations.
- Compile specifications for projects and oversee tendering procedures.
- Prepare status/progress reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Make technical suggestions.
- Ensure project quality and include HSE principles into the civil/structural design.
Key Requirement
- At least 5-7 years of working experience.
Soft Skills
- Accurate and detail-oriented.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure.
- Certified to sign off structural designs.
- The role requires frequent interaction with different levels of professionals and stakeholders on a high-profile project, therefore the candidate must have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication abilities.
- We are looking for a real team player and who can achieve goals by motivating and challenging the project teams.
- Possess the initiative to see all assignments and projects through to completion.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of the use of various software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Staad Pro, Scale, Orion, etc.
- Good knowledge of the industrial type of projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- COREN registered and/or any other relevant certification.
Salary
- N100,000 – N150,000 monthly.
