Our client, a well-known professional services/training Institute based in Abuja specializing in teaching and regulating accounting and other sub-disciplines in Nigeria, is hiring.
The Senior Finance Officer is in charge of planning, arranging, executing, and reporting on the Institute’s financial activities.
The hired candidate will be accountable for our company’s financial health by handling our financial procedures in this job.
Planning budgets, engaging in audits, tracking transactions, and preparing invoices will be among your responsibilities.
Also, to be successful in this position, you must have a thorough understanding of financial policies, procedures, and systems.
Finally, the ideal candidate will be a great communicator and have exceptional analytical and time management skills.
Location
Abuja (FCT)
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and review the Institute’s financial systems and procedures and suggest, design, and execute more effective and efficient methods.
- Prepare financial statements and invoices correctly.
- Maintain correct accounting records and oversee the Institute’s roles.
- Oversee accurate and appropriate income and spending recording and analysis.
- Ascertain that financial records are kept following established policies and procedures.
- Manage and reconcile all accounts and ensure that all financial reporting dates are adhered to.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual creation of balance sheets, income statements, and expense reports.
- Ensure that every financial reporting contains accurate facts.
- Update the Institute’s financial records with the latest transactions and adjustments.
- Perform the Institute’s financial analysis, reporting, and management activities.
- Determine and resolve invoicing problems, accounting irregularities, and other financial concerns.
- Ensures that high-quality societal training and operations are delivered on time and at the lowest possible cost.
- Taking part in financial audits is a good idea.
- Keep track of your bank deposits and withdrawals.
- Assist with the budgeting process.
- Examine and put in place financial policies.
- As needed, perform other tasks.

- 3 – 5 years experience in managing financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data, and analysis.

Qualifications
- 1st Degree in Accounting, Business, Financial Management, or a related discipline.
- Candidate must be Chartered and Certified by ANAN, ACCA, or other relevant bodies.
