    Front Desk Officer needed in Ibadan.

    A front desk clerk represents the first point of contact with the clients of a business, hotel or doctor’s office. They perform essential front desk administrative duties, including answering phone calls, greeting clients, and overseeing the office budget. Also known as a front desk receptionist.

    A reputable Hotel based in Ibadan is recruiting to fill the front desk position.

    Job Description

    • A hotel is looking for a professional front desk clerk to oversee all receptionist and secretarial duties at our main entrance desk. You will perform various tasks, including answering phone calls, managing the switchboard, and maintaining the office budget.
    • Your central goal is to provide our clients with outstanding customer service and support. As the ‘face’ of our company, the successful candidate will be presentable and friendly, with exceptional people’s skills. 
    • The candidate should have a talent for multi-tasking, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Clients and employees are met and greeted.
    • The candidates will direct guests to the correct person and office.
    • Answer incoming phone calls screen and forward.
    • Ensure that the reception space is clean and well-organized.
    • Ascertain that essential and accurate information is provided.
    • Make travel and lodging arrangements.
    • Daily mail and deliveries are received, sorted, and distributed.
    • Follow safety standards and regulate access.
    • Essential documents should be filed and kept in a well-organized manner.

    Key Requirements

    •  The candidate should have at least three years of front desk experience.
    • Applicants are to show their respective experiences in Hospitality Industry and also in the job position applied.

    Soft Skills

    • Adaptability skills.
    • Strong verbal communication skills.

    Technical Skills

    • Excellent writing skills.
    • Technology savvy.
    • Proficient with the use of a computer.

    Qualifications

    • The candidate should possess a minimum of OND or NCE qualifications.
