A financial institution is looking to recruit a relationship manager who has knowledge of banking operations and excellent marketing and selling skills.
Brief
First Bank of Nigeria Limited (FirstBank) is Nigeria’s largest financial services institution by total assets and gross earnings.
The Bank has over 750 branches and over 10 million customer accounts, offering a wide range of retail and corporate financial services.
The relationship manager tasks include giving clients knowledgeable counsel, influencing their decisions, immediately resolving concerns, and assuring client happiness.
Also, make decisions by identifying solutions that best match their needs.
In addition, to enhance the value of the business relationship and ensure profitability for the Bank and the Client, the RM is expected to integrate and coordinate all Stanbic IBTC and Standard Bank Group products, services, and resources.
Finally, to be an effective relationship manager, you must establish strong, long-term relationships with clients.

Job Description
- Assist in managing and expanding connections with existing customers, who account for a large portion of the company’s revenue.
- Establish new contacts following the industry’s focus and the Bank’s overall commercial objectives.
- To accomplish the Bank’s strategic goals, resurrect dormant partnerships.
- Maintain high client satisfaction scores by cultivating great client relationships.
- Assist in the genesis and completion of a customer’s transaction.
- By obtaining deposits, you can help the banks meet their liquidity needs.
- Keep track of your banking relationships and keep them up to date.
- Assist Credit Risk Management with the history and financial information needed to expedite credit transaction reviews.
- Assist in identifying risk issues and problem areas and responding proactively to protect the Bank’s interests.
- Market bank’s products and services to existing and potential clients (particularly in product cross-selling).

- Possess a minimum of 10 years of banking experience.

Qualifications
- First Degree or its equivalent in any discipline, preferably business-related
- A higher degree and relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
