Backend Developer Needed at Kuda Bank
A technology company is looking to recruit for a backend developer position.
Brief
Kuda is a full-service digital bank with an app. The company goal is to become the go-to bank for Africans residing on the continent and for the African diaspora living anywhere in the world.
The bank is free of obscene banking fees and excels at assisting consumers with budgeting, spending wisely, and saving more.
The potential candidate will be responsible for developing, creating, and managing platform services as a Backend Developer.
Furthermore, the hired developer will be working with the product and design teams to enable new features and capabilities for our customers.
Finally, you will help lead technical decisions around constructing highly available and dependable services.
Location
Lagos, Nigeria
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and implement new features in collaboration with developers, designers and other stakeholders.
- Keep our Nodejs and Golang systems up to date.
- Develop internal tools and documentation.
- Integrate user-facing aspects with server-side logic in collaboration with front-end developers.
- Create and maintain current APIs that work with server backends.
- Promote engineering best practices and assist in developing the team steams technical roadmap.
- Focus on providing fault-tolerant solutions that allow rapid development without compromising our customers’ experience.

- Model software engineering best practices, including agile development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Solid experience with C#, .Net, .Net Core
- Strong computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures background
- Have a deep understanding of Source Code Management
- In-depth understanding of Cloud Technologies such as Azure, AWS.
- Excellent understanding of databases and SQL.
- Understanding of REST APIs, SOAP & RPC.
- Have an in-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Can do technical writing and API documentation
- Familiar with project management tools such as Trello, Jira.
Qualification
- A Bachelor’s or Higher in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
