Photo Editor remote job description

Angi’s Content & Editorial team is looking for a freelance photo editor with expertise to join our growing team. We’re creating industry-leading digital content to teach our consumers how to improve and care for their houses.
This is a self-employed position. This employment is open to both US and non-US citizens, although English proficiency is necessary. We’re searching for a picture editor who can commit to 20-35 hours per week of work that you can do on your own time.
Responsibilities:
- Read drafted content to get a sense of the overall story and layout graphics to accompany it.
- Under company specifications, curate a photo collection from approved stock image platforms (Adobe Stock).
- On-time submission of image assignments is required.
- Resize, crop, blur and change image brightness/contrast as needed.
- Follow image optimization best practices.
- As part of content changes, replace and update old imagery.
- Keep a library of saved photographs for tracking and cataloguing purposes.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to find high-quality branded photos for use in digital material.
- 2+ years of experience in photography, graphic design, or a similar creative field (in house or agency).
- Experience in print or digital media for at least one year is preferred.
- Photoshop experience is essential.
- Good experience with Adobe Stock, Getty Images, Shutterstock, or a similar site.
- It’s a benefit if you’re familiar with project management software like Monday.com.
Compensation and Benefits:
- This job might pay between $25 and $35 per hour.
- Because this is a freelance position, no employer-sponsored benefits are available.
